  • National Childhood Immunisation Programme CME June 2008

A recording of a recent session run by IMAC for general practice teams is available for viewing via the CME/CNE page - go to the WPGMI/Pinnacle CME and other recorded sessions area - you will need your Pinnacle password for access (contact your Practice Liaison if you do not have the password). The session provides an overview of the key 2008 schedule changes for all providers involved in immunisation or education of parents. Topics include:

This presentation from Dr Jason Hill, Gastroenterologist at Waikato Hospital, is available in PDF format without a commentary but provides a useful background on interpretation and investigation of abnormal LFTs together with some case presentations.

  • BPAC has interactive case studies that can be submitted for MOPS/AVE points
  • The Goodfellow Unit CME Club provides MOPS eligible on-line CME courses including links to ACC provided courses. Registration is required but is free.
  • AusDoctors is a peer led internet resource for all Australian and NZ registered doctors and medical students. Registration is required but is free. The education module has a range of UK developed CME sessions with a certificate of completion available if required.

Clinical Knowledge Summaries is a UK based site that contains concise summaries on how to manage almost 500 clinical situations (scenarios) commonly encountered in primary and first contact care. These are underpinned by detailed up-to-date clinical knowledge on acute and chronic conditions, and disease prevention.

  • additional sections are available on medication details for various scenarios, patient information leaflets and links to other clinical knowledge sites
  • registration is free and enables you to personalise this knowledge base
